R&B artist Soulchild just released his latest music video for "Yes."
In the video, Soulchild stands alongside his girlfriend as she battles breast cancer over the course of a few years. Every time she breaks down, he assures her that there's nothing that could make him want to leave her.
At the end of the video, he marries her. A roomful of breast cancer survivors are in attendence.
"Early detection is the key to winning the fight against breast cancer," said Soulchild, who holds the ambassador title for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Circle of Promise. "Too often, black women are diagnosed in stage three and four when breast cancer is most difficult to treat. Some women are afraid to seek treatment for fear of losing their breasts or their hair."
In another battle, Soulchild is scheduled to play at a "Polo for AIDS" event on Oct.1 to raise money for HIV and AIDS services in New Mexico.
