MusiCares: Caring into the weekend

Running right into the weekend, MusiCares is closing out this month--and opening up the next one--with a show of yet more compassion for the musicians in Nashville. Considering the blood drive and medical clinic already co-sponsored this month by MusiCares, May proves to be a very helpful one indeed.

Starting this Thursday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m., and running until Friday June 1st at 5:00 p.m., there will be a two-day dental clinic for musicians in need. The clinic will be held at Walk-in Dental Clinics, 4928 Edmondson Pike Suite 202, in Nashville. As was the case with the medical clinic last week, it will be important for uninsured or underinsured musicians to contact MusiCares at 877-626-2748 to be sure they qualify, and to make an appointment.

The services, which include dental screenings, teeth cleaning and X-rays, will be provided free of charge to pre-screened, pre-approved applicants. These normally expensive services are being offered to musicians in need on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that musicians will be required to show documentation of their involvement in the music industry. For the specifics on these requirements, musicians should contact MusiCares locally at 615-327-0050 or toll free at 877-626-2748.
