Los Angeles – The musical drama “The Wrong Man,” inspired by Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues makes its world premiere at the Skylight Theatre on Saturday, February 8 at 8:00pm.

"The Wrong Man" is a musical tale about a man facing execution for a crime he did not commit. It is a story about what happens when the wrong man meets the wrong girl in the wrong place at the wrong time. When things spiral out of control our hero is left at the mercy of a flawed judicial system.

This acoustic tale of murder, ill-fated circumstances and innocence is written by and stars Ross Golan a multi-platinum selling songwriter. Golan has released songs with artists including Keith Urban, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green, Lady Antebellum, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Icona Pop, Big Sean, Travis Barker, Skylar Grey, Emblem3, and Prince Royce amongst many others. Golans’ sound has been described as “Tom Waits meets R Kelly on acoustic guitar.”

“The Wrong Man” has already received critical acclaim in the last two weeks of previews and opening night is already sold out. The production’s popularity has resulted in an extension of its run until March 16th.

The production is directed and choreographed by Lee Martino, a four-time Ovation Award-winner. She has directed and/or choreographed such productions as When You Wish: The Story of Walt Disney, American Misfits, Oklahoma!, Nuttin’ But Hutton, Hello My Baby, Life Without Makeup, Kiss Me, Kate!, Falling for Eve and a multitude of others. She has also worked in television, animated features, live events, and many benefits. Martino is the winner of three Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards and the recipient of the Joel Hirschhorn Award for outstanding achievement in musical theatre.
