Musical Delights

If you have an interest or can appreciate classical music or the melody of an instrument, then you'll be glad to know that The Amernet Quartet is giving a string concert tonight. They will be performing pieces from composers such as Franz Joseph Haydn, Stephen Dankner, and a special tribute to Felix Mendelssohn. This mixture of classics and contemporary music  is promising to be a hit. However, if this is a short notice or if you'd prefer to listen to an ensemble then the Collegium Musicum Concert would be another agreeable option. For a quiet and relaxing weekend (Saturday) give this ensemble (FIU students and community members) a chance to delight you with pre-classical pieces from the Baroque, Medieval, and Renaissance  eras.  It is an important time for us to go out and support the talent that is available in our community. It is also culturally enriching to be able to attend and pay close attention to music outside of everyday radio and the top of the charts.

General admission - $15

Faculty/staff/seniors - $10

Students - $5

The concerts will be held at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center in the University Park Campus.
