Houston's Music World Gospel has signed an exclusive recording agreement with pastor, author, motivational speaker and award-winning recording artist Lester Love. Bishop Love is the Senior Pastor of The City of Love, which he serves and leads with his wife, Pastor Fran Love.
Love, known for his preaching, is also a compelling singer, with a penchant for repurposing popular, contemporary songs to express love for and relationship with God. It’s a ministry that has connected with people inside and outside of his New Orleans-based church.
A YouTube video of Bishop Love leading his congregation through Jesus-focused versions of songs by Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross and others has received over 1.5 million views. He will offer similar themes on his first CD under the new joint venture, which will be released in winter 2012.
