Cheap Trick's Robin Zander and his band will be at the The Verve, Crowne Plaza, 1360 Worcester Street, Natick on Friday night. The new Robin Zander Band, comprised of Cheap Trick frontman Zander, drummer Steve Luongo, guitarist Mark Hitt and bassist Larry Hobbs. Show starts at 9:00 p.m. Tickets: $20. or $25. at the door.

The Selfies Band will be at the Midway Cafe, 3496 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain ((617) 524-9038 on Friday. The selfies are a cover band who play the music from David Bowie, Joe Walsh, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. The band is Dennis Foley on lead vocals and harp, Dave Bauman on guitar and vocals, Bill Duncan on bass and vocals and Matt Brennan on drums and vocals. Although it may seem that The Selfies are a 60's, 70's hard rock styled group, they are currently working their way through the decades starting on 1980's tunes such as the Talking Heads "Burning Down the House and 1990's tunes like the Foo Fighters "Everlong."

The Big Bang Theory Band will be at the Skybox Restaurant and Sports Bar, 553 Main Street, Tewsbury (978)851-4818 on Friday. This band's specialty is classic epic rock! The band is Dave Heafey on bass, Dave Barber on lead rhythm guitar, Steve Banville on lead rhythm guitar, Bob Martin on drums and Rich "Hokey" McMahon on keyboards. This band will keep you out on the dance floor!

Also on Friday, May 23, 2014, The Juke Joint Five Band will be performing at Smoken Joe's BBQ and Blues, 351 Washington Street, Boston (617)254-5227 The band is a house rocking kick ass electric blues band with Gretchen Bostrom on vocals, John Bunszell on bass, Dick “The Poet” Lourie on saxophone, Silvertone Steve on guitar and Noah Teshu on drums.

Singer song writer Carlin Tripp will be performing on Friday night at The Speedwell Tavern, 47 Main Street, Plymouth (508)927-4724. His songs reflect on love lost, love found and the trials and joys we all face in our day to day existence. All of us are searching for an answer in our own way and it seems Carlin's music longs to provide us with a brief insight to the inner workings of the human spirit.
