Music Unites and KIIS FM’s DJ Skee host 1st Annual 'Salon Series'

Music Unites and KIIS FM’s DJ Skee hosted their first ever “Salon Series” recently. Started by Music Unites Founder and Executive Director Michelle Edgar, the series raised awareness for music education featuring special performances from Music Unites Centennial High School Jazz Ensemble students. Also performing were artists from Roc Nation Scavenger Hunt, Neon Gold Records The Beginners to name a few. Attendees included Hollywood and music execs such as Natalia and Peter Safran, actors David Arquette, Dietrich Bader, Nadine Velazquez, Rob Minkoff, Diego Boneta and more.

Music Unites is a national charity with the mission to raise academic and lifetime achievement for at- risk public school students through the support and creation of music education partnerships and programs. MU currently provides free after school music programs to youth through school-based partnerships. They also have special monthly workshops designed to made for standards for career and college readiness. This is a great non-profit using music to help provide hope and resources for underserved kids.

They also enhances the listening experience of the public with performances from aspiring artists across a wide range of genres that exist in the increasingly diverse world of music.
