Music to Benefit Sandy Victims

Anyone looking to help those still suffering the after-affects from Hurricane Sandy, check out the new melodies by top-rated family-music artists while donating to causes that make a difference. All net proceeds from Neighbor to Neighbor: Family Music for Sandy Relief will benefit neighborhood relief organizations working in the Rockaways and Long Island.

A colorful PDF booklet comes with each digital download of these 16 songs, available now from Bandcamp and CDBaby.com.

Neighbor to Neighbor was produced by Hudson Valley children's performer Story Laurie (Laurie McIntosh) because she wanted to help New Yorkers recover from the destruction of Sandy. Laurie also worked with other children's musicians including Pete Seeger, Dar Williams, Tom Chapin, Guy Davis and Dan Zanes, to provide songs for the CD.

The two nonprofit groups that will be benefited are Camp Bulldog in Lindenhurst, Long Island and The Action Center in Far Rockaway, Queens. These groups help make sure people get what they need in terms of supplies and food, as well as medical and legal resources to help them move forward with recovery.”
