Louanna Faine and Greg Dee of My Life are teaming up to make the dream of going to prom a possibility. Since 90 percent of foster care children don't have the funds to go to prom Faine wanted to assist in raising funds. The red tape of the foster system provides little funding for extracurricular activities and as a result children don't get to participate in normal activities like their peers. The funds will also go to activities that will provide lasting memories for children not of prom age.
She knows first hand of the hardships within the system and has dedicated her life to giving back. Faine herself is a foster care alumni. She was put into the system at the age of seven after enduring years of abuse from a drug addicted mother. She escaped from the system by running away and later getting adopted by a loving couple.
Faine has gone on to gain many accomplishments including a B.A. from Arizona State University's acclaimed Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is the host of the number one web based television talk show Real Talk with Louanna. The one hour broadcast focuses on "Real People, Real Lives, and The Real Truth,” and has been airing for over three years.
