If you like live music there is only one place to be in September in Atlanta and that is at the Music Midtown music festival held at Piedmont Park on September 19 and 20. The acts appearing at this years festival were previously announced but organizers have finally released the schedule.

John Mayer is headlining the festival on Friday night while the Zac Brown Band will close the festival on Saturday night.

Just like last year there will be three stages; the Electric Ballroom and the Honda Stage will share the Meadow while the Roxy Stage will be in the Oak Hill part of the park.

Two additional artists have been added to the schedule as well. Third Eye Blind and Vic Mensa will join the cast of stellar performers already signed up that include John Mayer, the Zac Brown Band, Eminem, Gregg Allman, Bastille and Lana Del Ray.

Here’s hoping the weather is better this year than it was in 2013 when heavy rainshowers turned the Meadow into a marsh pit rather than a mosh pit!
