First birthday for Ryan James Tuber. Contibutions to his college fund would be appropriate gifts. Just sayin'.
Thursday, October 31.
Trick or treaters coming to the Chicago Folk Music Examiner editorial offices will receive bags of nutritious trail mix. We're keeping the Hershey bars for ourselves.
Friday, November 1.
Putnam Smith, fresh from his triumphant appearance at the Folk Festival, appears at Two Way Street Coffee House, 1047 Curtiss St, Downers Grove. 8:15 PM. $7.
Saturday, November 2.
Laurie McClain and Patti Ecker at Stained Glass Coffee House, 225 Wilmot Rd, Deerfield. 7 PM. $15.
Henhouse Prowlers at the Arcada Theater, 125 E. Main St, St. Charles. 2 PM and 7:30 PM. $20.
Trillium performs a fundraiser for WFMT, at Twisted Q Bar B Q, 2053 Ridge Rd, Homewood. 8 PM.
Anne Hills at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37W570 Bolcum Rd, St. Charles. 8 PM. $20.
Then, stay up until 2 AM, and turn your clocks back 1 hour. It doesn't count unless you do it at 2 AM.
Sunday, November 3.
The Limitations at the Prospect Heights Public Library, 120 Elm St, Prospect Heights. 2 PM. It's OK, the Bears play Monday night this week, so you can go catch an afternoon concert.
Corky Siegel's Chambers Blues Band, plus Matthew Santos, at City Winery, 1220 Randolph St, Chicago. 7 PM.
