With busy schedules it’s not easy for every live music lover to take the time off and spend three or four days at a music festival. Being able to attend for one day is better than none, and more festivals are offering that opportunity.
Lockn’ Interlocking Music Festival offers rates for all four days, Sept. 4-7, including VIP packages and special rates for Students as well as the chance at making it to the farm in Arrington, Virginia for one full day’s worth early and late shows.
This year’s lineup includes Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the only 2014 appearance of Furthur featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, the Phil Lesh & Friends lineup (Warren Haynes, John Scofield, John Medeski and Joe Russo), the Allman Brothers Band, Widespread Panic with special guest Steve Winwood, Bob Weir & RatDog, The String Cheese Incident, Willie Nelson Grace Potter & the Nocturnals Wilco, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Drive-By Truckers, Umphrey’s McGee, a double dose of Keller Williams who will lead Grateful Gospel and Grateful Grass, Hot Tuna Acoustic, Gary Clark Jr., Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Del McCoury Band, Larry Keel, Sam Bush, The Wood Brothers and Cabinet.

Happening on the same weekend, the Hideout Block Party/A.V. Fest, Sept. 5 and 6 outside The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., Chicago, now offers a single day option.
The Friday lineup includes Death Cab For Cutie, Hamilton Leithauser (of The Walkmen), The Handsome Family (of True Detective theme song), and Bad Luck Jonathan (feat. Jon Langford).
The Saturday lineup includes The War On Drugs, The Dismemberment Plan, Funky Meters, Mac DeMarco, Sylvan Esso, Valerie June, Empires, and Plastic Crimewave Vision Celestial Guitarkestra.

Summer Set Music & Camping Festival (SSMF), Aug. 15-17 at Somerset Amphitheater in Somerset, Wisconsin, is offering three-day passes as well as single day tickets.
