If you haven’t gone already, you should head to Tuesdays in the park at Artpark. It’s a free concert series held every Tuesday night at Artpark in Lewiston, NY. Every Tuesday night it’s filled with locals, food, drinks, and low-key fun. The park opens at 4 p.m. for its patrons to grab the best seats in the house and the concerts start at 6:30 p.m. The concert series started June 9th but runs till August 25th. Yesterday’s concert was The Machine performing Pink Floyd, next week (August 18th) the performance is the Outlaws, and the very last performance (August 25th) will be Peter Frampton. They suggest (and from personal experience) to get there around 4 p.m. the traffic to Lewiston and parking to get into Artpark gets congested, and then you’ll need to walk to the seat you want. It’s a great time to spend with family and/or friends in a relaxed, entertaining setting. At the park no carry-ins are allowed, but there are plenty of concessions through out to choose from. The parking and concession purchases help support the free concert. For any questions or information you can call (716) 754-4375.

Another free concert series is Artpark’s Wednesdays on the Gorge. This event started July 15th and runs till August 26th. Tonight’s performer is the Gin Blossoms, gates open at 2 p.m. and starts at 6:30 p.m. Next weeks performance (August 18th) is by Black 47 and Scythian, and the final performance (August 26th) is by Galactic. It’s similar to Tuesdays in the park, but just a different night and different artists. Again there is $10 parking and no carry-ins to help support the free concert.

So if you’re looking for a nice night to relax, mingle, and see some amazing scenery while listening to different artists this concert series is the perfect time.
