The Naples Art Association (NAA) and The Naples Jazz Orchestra (NJO) are collaborating to present Music and the Arts. The lively new discussion series featuring musicians from the NJO's Concert Schedule will be held at The von Liebig Art Center.
Described as the "ultimate backstage experience for music lovers," guests will spend time with members of The Naples Jazz Orchestra, headliners, and guest artists before the musicians take to the stage for that evening's performance at the Cambier Park Bandshell.
Headliners include Freddy Cole and Carmen Bradford. NJO Musical Director Bob Stone will serve as moderator while musicians engage in spirited discussions about their life and times in the world of music. Together they will explore the role visual art plays in music.
"These evenings are a chance of a lifetime to be face-to-face with some of the greatest American Jazz legends alive today," said Stone. "Visual arts and music are connected. What would a movie be without music? Think of the Harlem Renaissance - Jazz and fine art have been tangled up since the beginning."
