Mush For a Cure - March 9-10, 2012

See also

Mush for a Cure is not a race, it is an outrageously fun event to celebrate the sport of dog mushing, capping off a winter of hard work, training and racing while raising funds to find a cure for breast cancer. Participants raise donations and checks are sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. To date Mush for a Cure has donated $100,000, and the goal this year is to raise another $50,000. This year’s event will be held on Friday and Saturday the 9th-10th March 2012.

This year the 2012 Mush for a Cure has Superior National Forest Gunflint District Ranger, Dennis Neitzke, putting his head on the line in the 3rd annual Bald, Brave and Beautiful contest. In addition, if Mush for a Cure raises $5,000 by 1 March 2012, Neitzke will color his hair pink for the 10 days leading up to the event.
