Explore three museums for free in Los Angeles. The Pavilion for Japanese Art at LACMA just opened a new exhibit: Paintings in Celebration of Twenty-Five Years. Or, enter the evocative world of a groundbreaking children’s book author and illustrator at The Snowy Day and the Art of Ezra Jack Keats exhibit at the Skirball. Floral Journey: Native North American Beadwork is on view at The Autry, where master artist Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan) demonstrates her award-winning beadwork skills on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Three more institutions are participating further south. Examine Frieda Kahlo Her Photos at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA). Travels with Millard Sheets, 1950-1986, takes you on a journey at the Laguna Art Museum. Or, venture out on a Dino Quest at the Discovery Science Center, where this offer only applies on Sunday.
