If you've got a Bank of America checking account, ATM or credit card then you have a free pass (general admission only) to a selection of museums around the country on the first weekend of every month through the Museums on Us program. Please take a photo ID with you, some museums may request it before letting you enter.

Museums on Us will take place on Oct 2, 2010 and Oct 3, 2010. These are the participating museums in Massachusetts:

  • The Language of Color is an exhibit about color and its evolution in the natural world.
  • Climate Change: Our Global Experiment
  • Headgear: The Natural History of Horns and Antlers

Permanent Exhibits:

  • The Great Mammal Hall
  • Evolution
  • Arthropods: Creatures that Rule
  • The Glass Flowers
  • The Zoological Galleries
  • The Mineralogical and Geological Gallery

Nature Storytime:

Readings stories and poems for children 6 and under that are designed to engage the next generation of explorers with themes related to the museum's galleries. Storytime takes place every Sunday from 11am - 12pm and from 2pm - 3pm, and is included with your museum admission.

In addition to the walking trails available for exploration, the animals that live there, and the permanent exhibits, you can see these special exhibits:

Cool Moves: The Artistry of Motion
: Create your own cool moves! Interact with pendulums, a touchable tornado, three-wheeled racers, a dancing wall, wind and more! Enjoy the science of motion!

Cyberchase - The Chase is On!: This exhibit is based on the PBS KIDS GO! math and mystery cartoon and presents math in a kid-friendly environment.
