Museum of Northern Arizona announces dates for 2012 Arts and Culture Festivals

The Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, AZ presents a series of cultural festivals each year. These festivals bring Native peoples together to display arts and crafts, have educational sessions for the public, provide dance and music shows and to represent the specific culture of the festival.

I have been to both the Zuni and Hopi festivals and highly recommend the Festivals of Arts and Culture in Flagstaff. When you go, plan to spend the major part of the day there, attend presentations and shop for authentic arts and crafts.

Here are the dates for the 2012 shows:

  • 22nd Annual Zuni Festival of Arts and Culture: May 26-27, 2012
  • 79th Annual Hopi Festival of Arts and Culture: June 30-July 1, 2012
  • 63rd Annual Navajo Festival of Arts and Culture: August 4-5, 2012
  • 9th Annual Celebraciónes de la Gente: October 27-28, 2012
