The Persian New Year takes center stage at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on Saturday, March 22, with a daylong schedule of festivities to celebrate the occasion. MFA's Nowruz 2014: The Persian New Year Festival will begin at 10 a.m. with family-friendly activities including story hour, art-making and educational activities designed to teach children about the significance of the event. Guests will have other opportunities to learn about Persian art and culture through thematic tours, talks and demonstrations by artists from Iran. Live entertainment by Zarbang Trio, Banafsheh Sayyad and Aftab Dance Group will include music and dance, and the Museum's Taste Café will round out the experience with a Persian-inspired menu.
