Muse Tour 2013 heads to Nassau Coliseum (Video)

“While pop stars accompany their explosions with breezy songs that often require steroid treatments of bass and drums in cavernous halls, Muse comes equipped with epic anthems that don’t need to be super-sized at all.”Orlando Sentinel

What’s as big as a “Supermassive Black Hole,” has hobnobbed with the “Knights of Cydonia” and causes an “Uprising” wherever it goes? Do you give up? The answer is Muse.

Long Island audiences will soon have a chance to check out the Alternative Brit-Prog band when the group brings its Queen-Radiohead-Hendrix infused pop mix to the Nassau Coliseum.

Upcoming Coliseum show

Reigning English mega rockers Muse will unleash their latest road show extravaganza “Tour 2013” at the Nassau Coliseum on Sun., April 21st at 7 p.m.

With masterfully crafted gems such as “Uprising,” “Time is Running Out” and “Hysteria,” you can bet Matthew Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominick Howard, better known as Muse, will be cranking out some first-rate tunes from their latest album collection, “The 2nd Law.”

What to expect

Muse are no strangers to the Coliseum, having already notched several Uniondale gigs under their belt. But besides the posturing, gifted showmanship and tightly woven soundscapes, what can Coliseum goers expect to see and hear from Muse?

According to one review published by Jim Abbott in the Orlando Sentinel on Feb. 25th, 2013, “Beneath a pyramid of video screens and surrounded by a semi-circular wall of more of them, Muse took the stage to deliver ‘Supremacy’…All of it embellished by lasers, roving spotlights and imaginative images that swirled around the band.”

The Muse show is the first major arena tour of the year. Tickets for the upcoming Coliseum concert are still available.
