On Thursday, February 28, 2013, Muse lit up Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena with their electrifying light display, sound and energy. Steam blowing pyrotechnics shot straight out of the stage with a buoyant charge of red lighting as Muse opened with their newest dub-step single, “Unsustainable”, from their recent album, The 2nd Law.
Muse is well known for their space rock and electronica vibe, visually compel their audience of fans, not only with just their sound and lighting displays but also with their glowing instruments. As Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, lead guitar, piano, keyboards, keytar) was on a higher level of the stage with his guitar flipped on top of his head, an inverted pyramid made up of visual screens descended from the stage ceiling. Chris Wolstenholme's (bass, vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar, harmonica) bass guitar neck illuminates with every pluck of sound. Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesizers, sampling) using a custom finished kit by DW Drums, blows your mind with every chop to the skins.
Muse fans were very dynamic and did not hold back their vigorous enthusiasm as the band performed their setlist of songs. What causes an “Uprising” wherever it goes? Give up? Muse! ... And Cleveland loved them!
