The critically-acclaimed music documentary “Muscle Shoals” is set to play at the Capri Theatre in Montgomery, Alabama starting this weekend. The film which was an official Sundance selection is set to screen Friday Oct. 25 through Wednesday Oct. 30. The Friday and Saturday showtimes are at 7 and 9 p.m. while the Sunday through Wednesday showtimes are only at 7:30 p.m.

“Muscle Shoals” tells the story of the famed music studio located in the small Alabama town that drew some of the biggest names in soul and rock & roll during the Civil Rights Movement. Aretha Franklin, Mick Jagger, Percy Sledge and Etta James are just a few of the music stars and legends who recorded at the studio. The studio’s founder Rick Hall oversaw the magic made at the facility which created classics such as “When a Man Loves a Woman”, “I’ll Take you There” and “Brown Sugar”.
