Murdered: Soul Suspect to be released in early 2014

Murdered: Soul Suspect mixes the hard-boiled detective genre with the X Files. Square Enix, the makers of the popular Final Fantasy Series, plan to release the game early in 2014, according to Steam. The Terre Haute PC gaming examiner could not find the exact release date.

Square Enix’s hard-boiled mystery is not just a simple whodunit story. Ronan O'Connor, the games title character, must solve his own murder. As Ronan uncover clues, he finds that he is risking more than his soul. At least the game's promotional materials promise this. Such information might change as the release date approaches.

Although Square Enix has not yet released it, the trailer and the screenshots show that Square Enix used same design philosophy that Irrational games used for Bioshock. The programmers, artists, and developers wanted to immerse players in a total work of art. Even the game's trailer makes the player feel as if she were in a modern film noir movie.
