To promote “Muppets Most Wanted” sequel coming out next year, Disney has launched a new series of online shorts called “Muppisodes” on Dec. 5 via BuzzFeed. The first of these, the three-minute “Food Fight,” stars the Swedish Chef going up against Gordon Ramsay in a food truck cook-off. Or as only the Muppets would call it, a “Føødê Fïtê!”
In "Food Fight," Swedish Chef shows off his cooking skills at the Børk Børk Førk, while Ramsay surprises by keeping his language – if not his prep area – clean. It’s all Ramsey can do not to laugh at the antics. Muppets fans also will enjoy seeing Beaker and Sweetums take supporting roles in this Muppisode.
Of course, “Food Fight” includes some of the usual Muppet appearances, such as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Rowlf, Gonzo and the newest Muppet Walter. Also showing up are Statler and Waldorf, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Scooter, Animal and – for those who know their more obscure Muppets– Pops. Human cameos include Disney Channel stars Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell.
The extended six-minute version, released today to the WWE YouTube channel and embedded here, features WWE’s Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and announcer Michael Buffer.
Disney plans to release “Muppets Most Wanted” to domestic movie theaters March 21, 2014.
