Once Cassandra Clare’s City of Bones (book one in The Mortal Instruments series) hit bookshelves it didn’t take long for fan sites to start popping up. In fact, one popular fan site was launched just one day after Cassandra Clare fan, Ashley Casperite finished reading City of Bones. The site is called Mundie Source and it aimes to be the place for fans of The Mortal Instruments series and Cassandra Clare can go to get information rather than find links and resources.
“One thing that makes this series’ so special is the accessibility that fans can have with the author,” explains Casperite. It’s because of such accessibility that Mundie Source is able to host contests and giveaways fans to compete for. This makes the site highly interactive and enjoyable for all those that visit.
Mundie Source is more than just a fan site for The Mortal Instruments fans it is a fan site for Cassandra Clare. Casperite became a fan of Clare’s writing before she was published and an active writer of Fanfiction. On August 31 Clare will launch her second YA series, The Infernal Devices. This book still incorporates the world of the Shadowhunters that TMI fans have grown to love but it is set in a different time period and with new and enjoyable characters.
Casperite has read an ARC already and is confident that TMI fans will quickly fall for these new characters. Mundie Source will have giveaways surrounding the release of the book one in The Infernal Devices series, Clockwork Angel.
