The modern-day female is a multitasker. We are used to juggling more than one thing at a time. So we are always looking for ways to add more time to our day. One thing that should not be time-consuming is our daily makeup routine. The key to shortening application time is finding products that multitask as well as we do.
Tinted Moisturizer with SPF
Tinted moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15 is good to wear year round. Many of us only take advantage of it during the summer months because it is lighter and won't leave noticeable streaks when we work up a sweat. Extend your use of this product beyond summer for a quick and easy base for your makeup any time of year. Don't go crazy and buy an expensive one either, e.l.f cosmetics has two tinted moisturizers -- e.l.f. Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 and e.l.f. Essential Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 -- that cost under $5.00.
All Over, Multi-Shade Face Powder
An all over face powder compact that has multiple shades in it should be in every busy woman's beauty arsenal. If you don't have one, get one now! This handy compact contains stripes or blocks of complementary shades that can be swirled together as a standalone face powder or bronzer. There are colors suitable for blush, eyeshadow, and the darkest shade can be used as eyeliner if needed. Simply take a tapered sponge eyeshadow applicator or eyeliner brush and run the tip of it along the darkest shade in the compact and line your eyes with it. You can also smudge it for a smoky eye. For a cheaper compact with fewer colors try e.l.f. Studio Bronzers which features three color grouping with four shades in each group for only $3.00 each.
Clear mascara is not for everyone. Personally I don't use it anymore because I have pesky little white eyelashes that I need to cover. However, if your lashes have not begun to gray or if you don't care if the gray is seen, then clear mascara is the quick and easy way to tame your eyelashes and your brows. Plus you don't have to worry about your mascara streaking if you cry.
Tinted Lip Moisturizer
There are plenty of lip colors that serve as lip color and lip moisturizer combining two steps in one. However, the best types are the moisturizing lip stains. A lip stain lasts longer than other lip colors so you more than likely won't need to reapply for six hours or more. These stains can also serve as blush. The best tinted lip moisturizer I’ve tried is Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF in Sugar Rose Tinted my lips stayed moisturized all day long and the color lasted throughout the day. However, it is pricey costing over $20.00. A good drugstore brand to try is Maybelline SuperStay 10HR Stain Gloss for under $7.00.
These four multitasking products can easily be applied in under five minutes. In fact it only takes me around three minutes to apply my makeup, even with my using black, waterproof mascara. If you want a quick and easy makeup routine, purchase makeup that performs multiple tasks and simplifies the process for you.
