"Once," the multiple Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical based on the surprise hit movie of the same name opens for a limited run this month at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The show opens tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 4 and runs six days.

The show, which is still running on Broadway, has garnered eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and it also took home the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

Based on the surprise hit film, "Once" tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, their unexpected friendship and collaboration evolves into a powerful but complicated romance. Their story is brought to life on a minimalist set designed to look like a bar that is graced by a cast of gifted actor/musicians.

The show is based on the 2002 film sleeper, which was shot in 17 days and made for $150,000. It went on to gross $20 million worldwide becoming a critically acclaimed international smash. The movie won the 2007 Best Original song for "Falling Slowly," the Los Angeles Film Critics Award for Best Music, and the soundtrack was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

The movie was transformed into a Broadway show, which opened two years ago this month and swept the awards circuit including being named Best Musical by the New York Drama Critics' Circle, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Awards. The show is still running on Broadway and has since opened in London and Melbourne, Australia.

Tickets range from $26-$96.
