A truly interesting UFO sighting was recorded on video over Helsinki, Finland on Saturday, July 23, 2011. The video is nearly five minutes long and shows several glowing spheres or orbs moving slowly across the night sky. The unidentified flying objects glow white and red as they move above the trees from right to left.
At least four UFOs initially appear on the video as pinpricks of white light in the distance. They almost immediately turn red and sometimes give the impression that they are blinking or flickering. As the cameraman zooms in on one of the objects, it seems to turn orange. The UFOs have a perfectly spherical appearance.
In the latter part of the video, one of the objects ceases to glow and appears to silently glide lower behind the trees. The witnesses who are recording the video can be heard describing the sight. They seem genuinely baffled by the appearance of multiple UFOs in the sky.
At least one observer of the video has speculated that the UFOs are nothing more than paper lanterns. If that is truly the case, it wouldn't be the first time Chinese lanterns were mistaken for something more mysterious. In April 2011, the Baby James Foundation launched a series of lanterns as part of a memorial display causing scores of witnesses to report having seen UFOs.
