Multi state rape and crime spree by single individual

Corey McClendon, 39 of Ferguson, has been charged in connection with a 14-year old male victim who claimed he was grabbed from a sidewalk and then sexually assaulted by an adult male on 28-December 2012. The victim claimed he was held against his will and sodomized. The incident occurred in the 100 block of South Florissant Road near the Florissant Police Station. Apparently, the boy was forced into a stairwell of a church. It was not until weeks later, that McClendon's DNA became known to the police who was later arrested for a burglary in Iowa where he was convicted and sent to a half-way house. In Novemeber 2012, he fled the state and ended up in Missouri and as of recently, he had been hiding in Florida where he was being held in a Palm Beach County jail involving an arrest for stealing on NYE. He is in the process of being expedited back to Saint Louis. McClendon is also charged with rape in San Bernardino, California, for a sexual assault that happened in 2005. He also pleaded guilty in St. Louis in 1994 to charges of assault, attempted armed robbery and false imprisonment.
