Earlier today, video game publisher NIS America confirmed the May 2014 release date for its upcoming PlayStation 3 RPG, “Mugen Souls Z”.

Taking place just after the events of the first “Mugen Souls”, “Mugen Souls Z” will have players taking control of the goddess Syrma, who meets Chou-Chou just after the end of the first game. This new story will revolve around the zodiac, as Syrma attempts to stop an ancient threat to her world, that has recently awakened.

Players will have a whole new set of worlds to explore along with new companions and some familiar faces. The battle system has also seen some improvement, gameplay is faster and crazier, with G-Castle battles, combined team abilities and galactic special attacks.

“Mugen Souls Z” will be available for the PlayStation 3 beginning on May 20, 2014 in North America, and May 23, 2014 in Europe. To learn more about the game you can visit the “Mugen Souls Z” official site. The announcement also noted that due to the sensitive nature of some content, NIS America has decided to edit certain aspects of “Mugen Souls Z” for its North American and European releases.
