MudMatch Austin: Where mudding meets fun

Speed-friending, blind dating, and mudding competitions marry to bring you MUDMATCH: have you met your match?

Austin is a fitness hub. Every year, the city streets awaken with the sound of footsteps: The Capitol 10k, The Austin Marathon and Half Marathon - Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, and the Spartan Race - Austinites are in the upper echelon of fit. Next month, on April 5th, the creators behind MUDMATCH come to Texas with their answer to "finding your adrenaline fix and your soul mate."

Austin is consistently ranked as one of the top five American cities for singles; we are a rapidly growing, economic hub of food, music, and culture - we are a social community. MUDMATCH promises a "meet in the mud" atmosphere where singles - and couples - can combine their affinity for socializing with their love of mudding. Take a three-and-a-half mile obstacle course - add live music, food, and a bustling social atmosphere - and you have the newest, and fastest, growing sensation in mudding. MUDMATCH is a socially oriented race that caters to locals looking to met both friends and matches.

MUDMATCH Austin kicks off at 9am with DJ OG Sprocket; a new heat takes the course every 30 minutes and in the interim, attendees can challenge their foes to a game of UBERPONG, mud volleyball, or tug-of-war. Austin powerhouse, Quiet Company, will rock the stage in the afternoon as the festival party commences with drinks, costume contests, and prizes. Mudders also have the option of choosing green "SINGLE" or blue "NOT-SO SINGLE" wristbands to assist in chatting up potential matches.

This is a great event to open up spring and an excellent opportunity to meet new people. Come for the mud, or stay for the music, MUDMATCH is a must-not-miss. Get your tickets below!

WHEN: April 5th, 2014

WHERE: Rusty's Walnut Creek Ranch, 30 miles east of Austin
