Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton will go back in time next month to the Roaring '20s for a good cause.

The Golden Scarab Club, a Roaring '20s speakeasy, will be hosted at Muckenthaler Cultural Center once again April 10 at 7:30 p.m. Vintage 1920s dress is encouraged for this event, with tickets costing $25. Brad Kay and those Syncopating Songbirds will also perform that night. The code word to get in that night is "Orange Juice." Shhhh!

All proceeds will benefit the Muckenthaler's art education programs.

Speakeasy clubs were popular during the Prohibition Era. Known as underground bars that illegally served alcohol, they were often raided by police. The term "speak easy" came about as locals would quietly talk about them, so as to not alert the authorities.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on the Muckenthaler's Web site. No discounts are available for tickets since it is a fundraiser.
