MTV's 'Jersey Shore' loses two advertisers gains Been Verified on episode 3 (Videos)

The new reality TV show “Jersey Shore” on MTV has been surrounded by controversy since the premiere last Thursday night, even losing two advertisers. However, an online company called Been Verified has jumped on the “Jersey Shore” band wagon to fill the advertizing spot.

A representative from Been Verified stated, “We may not be hair gel product, but we feel the program's content reinforces our brand's message perfectly.” Which is seemingly a correct statement; due to the fact  BeenVerified.com performs background checks on people. (Hint, HInt!)

After the premiere of “Jersey Shore” last week Domino’s and American Family Insurance pulled the plug on their commercials. Both companies bailed out after an Italian American group was outraged over the premiere of “Jersey Shore” for being "offensive" to Italian Americans.

In other news “Jersey Shores” Mike Sorrentino “The Situation” is reportedly trying to get his “Jersey Shore” name trademarked. Mike stated to reporters, “"I'm trying,"…"I'm in the process of it right now. I don't know if it's possible, but I'm trying."

This show is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, really what is the point of this show? I've actually watched it like twice, to see what it was like. I am kind of offended by this show because I live on the Jersey Shore. I live about 10 minutes away from Seaside, where this was filmed. And no, I am not Italian. Sure there are a lot of Italians in NJ, but they DO NOT act like this. I hope that everyone knows that only like one person is from New Jersey. This show is about a bunch of bennies coming to the Jersey Shore for the summer. And if you live in NJ, you know not to go to the beach on a weekend because there will be a bunch of New Yorkers.

Like your coverage, Robyn. I found this show offensive to New Jerseyans as well as Italians. I wrote about it as the New Jersey Day Trips Examiner.

I totally agree with you about that only New yorker do that and only during summer i found this site which also collected all the movies about them in case someone want to confirm if it is good or bad show
