It's that time of year again where TV networks beat the streets to find the next "hot thing" for television. With that in mind, every year Syrus Yarbrough from MTV along with Kennedy Events, host an open casting event that is followed by a Hollywood style gala with celebrity guests, producers, and casting agents. The idea is to increase the opportunities for actors, models and entertainers in Southern Arizona by showcasing talent at the casting and mingling at the party afterwards.
This years casting event is going to be held, Friday February 22nd at the Viscount Suites Hotel, 4855 East Broadway from 4pm to 7pm in Wilburs Grill. The exclusive celebrity gala will be at the Underground at Zen Rock, 121 E. Congress in downtown Tucson starting at 9pm till 2am. Over the last few months the owners at Congress Street Clubs have turned the downstairs of Zen Rock into an exclusive venue for private parties and events. What better location for a celebrity party.
You are asked to bring a head shot and prepared monologue to the casting along with a great attitude. Producers are casting for a wide variety of projects from Reality TV to independent films. There are a limited amount of VIP passes and tables available so act fast. Authentic Productions will be on site filming for a web series during the event and there will be many opportunities to be involved.
