It has been over a year since fans last saw the girls of “Teen Mom” all together on MTV, but could all of that soon change? According to an October 16 report, fans may see Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood together again. Farrah Abraham posted a photo of rubber ducks (a gift from MTV to the “Teen Moms”) in a row and hinted that a special will soon air.
Since the show ended last year, all the girls have taken quite different paths in their lives. Catelynn Lowell appeared on VH1 “Couples Therapy” with Tyler Baltierra. These two were a fan favorite from the beginning and people loved to watch them overcome their upbringings to ensure they had bright futures. Even though they are still together, they called off their July 2013 wedding and have not yet announced another date.
Then, there is Maci Bookout. After “Teen Mom” ended, there were rumors that Maci and her son, Bentley, would be back with their own spin-off. It turns out the spin-off was nothing more than an hour long special which let fans catch up with the mother and son. Fans watched as Maci Bookout toyed with the idea of getting back together with Ryan Edwards and worked on her education.
Perhaps it is Farrah Abraham who took the most unconventional path after “Teen Mom.” Farrah turned her back on MTV and went into the adult entertainment business. She has an adult film which has done incredibly well and will soon have her own line of adult toys. Since departing from MTV, Farrah Abraham has said some things about the network so it is odd to see her going possibly going back for the show.
Aside from the fact that it has been a year since Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood have been together, why else would MTV want to reunite them? Perhaps it has something to do with Amber Portwood’s upcoming release from prison.
Since last summer, Amber Portwood has been in prison in her home state of Indiana. Although she was sentenced to five years, Amber has done a fantastic job at getting her life on the right track. No longer is she the troubled girl that fans got to know on “Teen Mom,” but is now a changed woman. It makes sense that MTV would want to turn her release into a special and get her together with her former cast mates.
However, Amber Portwood reportedly isn’t interested in the spotlight once she is out of prison. Despite that, a small reunion special may not be a bad idea. Fans could see just how much Amber has changed since she went to prison and the dynamic between the girls would certainly be different than it was during past reunion specials (especially after the mini feud between Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell!)
Would you watch a “Teen Mom” reunion special?
