The MTV Movie Awards was swept this year by a sparkly vampire, a werewolf, and the girl they love.  The Twilight Saga: New Moon ended the night with three awards, and Robert Pattinson (the sparkly vampire) won the Global Superstar award.  The Hangover was the other winner of multiple awards, leaving with a grand total of two.

The running theme for the evening was cursing and bleeping, and not always at the same time.  (Someone at MTV probably has a meeting in their superior's office bright and early tomorrow morning over that one.)  Sandra Bullock looked amazing as she graciously accepted her Generation Award from Bradley Cooper, Betty White, and Scarlett Johansson, ending her acceptance speech with a mention of the oil blowout in the Gulf.

There was another serious moment when Ken Jeong accepted his award for Best W*F Moment in The Hangover and thanked his wife, who's been cancer free for two years.  Other highlights include (finally!) getting a look at the trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, along with seeing a clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Here's who went home with the coveted golden popcorn:

Best Movie - The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Best Comedic Performance - Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover

Global Superstar - Robert Pattinson

Best Male Performance - Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: New Moon
