Just after fans were treated to the first look at Magnus Bane, MTV delivered an exclusive interview with actor Godfrey Gao, who is bringing the beloved character to live in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.’
The Harald Zwart directed project is due out August 23, 2013 and is creating a media frenzy as its passionate fandom counts down to the release.
"I love Magnus Bane's character because [he] can live forever and never age a day, and who doesn't want to live forever?" Gao told MTV News. "I also love that Magnus is a flamboyant party animal, and it's fun to be described that way compared to the other characters I've portrayed previously.
