On March 3 Broadway World shares that MTV has announced the upcoming release of "Teen Mom" Kailyn Lowry's tell-all book "Pride Over Pity." While fans have seen her life being documented through MTV and her pregnancy with her first child, Isaac, there is a lot of Kailyn's life that fans don't know about because she's been so closely guarded with it.
Kail's book will be available April 14 for $19.99 in hardback or $9.99 eBook form. in an effort to put the past behind her and finally move forward, Kailyn has laid it all on the line. She details painful things such as rape, drug use and abuse, and finally what drove her to become a teen mom. The story is raw and often painful but beautifully written. In an excerpt, she writes;
"If I ever gaze at the past, I shudder. I shudder to count how many times I mistakenly thought I was loved. I quiver unpleasantly to recall the person I used to be and how I acted in some of my relationships. Looking back, it's not surprising that I turned to boys for love so early. I needed appreciation. I needed to feel worthy. Most of all I needed support."
Kailyn has dedicated her life to her kids as well as helping other girls overcome similar situations that she's dealt with in her own life. Between documenting her everyday life on MTV's hit show "Teen Mom 2" and through her speaking engagement, Kailyn is the real deal and her story is a painfully heartbreaking one that should be shared.
