This weekend, January 18 and 19, show up with Niner branded gear and your day on the slopes of snow at Mt. Rose will set you back $49, a bargain by any definition.
The special is in honor of the San Francisco 49ers football team continuing to advance in the NFL playoffs. Not a bad deal at all. Break out that hat, shirt, jacket, scarf, or anything else, and you're in. A little red and gold is all it takes.
Concurrent with the 49er deal, on Saturday, January 18, there will be the Mt. Rose Ho-Down BBQ complete with live country tunes. The live country music will be on the Mt. Rose Main Lodge deck. The ribs will be simmering at the View-Be-Que. Passholders will be able to compete in a poker run and raffle, always a great way to spend some time on the slopes. Be there for the 11 a.m. start. It's all over at 2 p.m.
Since January is Learn to Ski and Board month, Mt. Rose is offering first timer packages too. According to the PR folks at Mt. Rose, "The high base elevation and northern exposure of Mt. Rose ensure some of the best snow in the region... and the weather could not be nicer. Plenty of sunshine makes for smooth sailing up to Tahoe and a fun day on the mountain."
The first timer package includes a lift ticket good for the Flying Jenny, Ponderosa, and Galena lifts, Learn at Your Own Pace lessons, and 2 hour group lessons during midweek, non-holiday times. All this for $84.
