The folks behind Mrs. P's Magic Library have expanded from their award-winning website with a new, interactive book.
Mrs. P's Four Favorite Fairy Tales and Funny Stories is now available at Amazon and other bookstores via online ordering. It features stories and intructions previously available only as videos from MrsP.com and Mrs. P's iTunes store. Now children can follow along in the book as Mrs. P reads the stories with them.
"I'm very proud of Mrs. P's new book," said actress Kathy Kinney, who portrays Mrs. P. "Children and parents can open the book and read along with me at my website. We even have a Magic Dictionary at MrsP.com, so if kids come across a word they don't know, they can just pause the video and easily find out what it means."
The new book includes Jack and the Beanstalk and The Emperor's New Clothes, along with 90 original color illustrations and new, comic introductions from Mrs. P for each story.
"Everyone's worried about the Internet making books and reading obsolete," Kinney said. "We've found a wonderful way to make them work together."
Ten percent of all MrsP.com's after-tax profits from the book sales will be donated to literacy organizations.
