One of the many Hercule Poirot mysteries that Agatha Christie wrote, ‘Mrs. McGinty’s Dead,’ is a captivating and haunting mystery.
The novel begins when a Superintendent Spence seeks out the help of famed detective Hercule Poirot.
Spence was an investigator regarding the brutal murder of old and sweet Mrs. McGinty, while he arrested her boarder James Bentley, the Superintendent cannot help but feel he is innocent.
Intrigued by this challenge Hercule Poirot soon heads to the site of Mrs. McGinty’s murder, the small town of Broadhinney.
Poirot finds little evidence that does not link back to James Bentley, except a news snippet regarding the sordid lives of murderess and their children.
Is this the key to old Mrs. McGinty’s murder, or is Poirot investigating an already solved murder?
Soon Poirot is embroiled in secret scandals, murder, stolen identities, and romance.
Will he be able to solve the mystery before it’s too late, or will he become the next victim?
