This Friday one of the new movies coming to most Tucson theaters is Mr. Popper's Penguins. Below are links to some penguin related crafts and coloring to enjoy and prepare for watching the movie or enjoy after seeing the movie. Note that a lot are meant to represent a diffrent penguin species than featured in the movie. The species in the movie are Gentoo. Egg Carton Penguin Craft - This is a nice penguin recycling craft, although the earmuffs are kind of silly and could be omitted if you are going for a more realistic penguin look. This version is a smaller version (skip adding the hat part), which could be used to make young penguins to go with the bigger version.
Penguin Cupcakes - This is a fun kitchen craft to enjoy as a snack before or after going to the movies.
Pipe Cleaner Penguins - This a pretty easy penguin craft. Make as many or as little as you want. You can make it a more involved craft by also designing a diorama with surrounding scenery. If you do it after seeing the movie, you can make it represent a favorite scene from the movie.
Pondering Penguin Clay Craft - Make a clay penguin with this craft. This is easy to adapt to be whatever penguin species you want including Gentoo.
