It was a winter wonderland on warm summer Sunday in Hollywood as penguins came to play along with Jim Carrey for the Los Angeles premiere of "Mr. Popper's Penguins."
With faux snow on the ground and a white carpet greeting the talent and celebrity guests at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the photographers and video crew were greeted with snowflakes floating in the air. The young Morgan Lily opened up the carpet in an orange dress as she blew swatted away a few of the faux snowflakes from her face while she posed for the cameras.
The adorable Madeline Carroll, who plays one of Jim Carrey's daughter in the film, was looking lovely in her off white/biege outfit. But the ohhs and ahhs were drawn more by the appearance of the penguins who were featured in the film.
In the live action comedic film, Jim Carrey stars as Mr. Popper, whose ice cold family relationship changes as he inherits a group of penguins that creates laughable havoc in his family laugh.
Back on the carpet, the penguins caused some laughter as they posed for the red carpet photographers. Some photographers commented with a little chuckle, "What divas! No over the shoulder shot."
As one photographer chided Carrey to look down his way, Carrey jokingly chided, "Where, down your crotch?" Carrey definitely didn't disappoint in the comedy department.
Other lovable and adorable individuals on the carpet included Carla Gugino dressed in an ice blue dress along with Ophelia Lovibond in lime form fitting number.
"Mr. Popper's Penguins" opens nationwide on Friday, June 17, 2011
