Mr. Maine Basketball shines at McDonald's all-star game

On Friday evening, Garet Beal from Jonesport-Beals was named Mr. Maine Basketball

On Saturday morning, Beal scored 35 points to lead the C/D east all-stars to a 114-100 victory over the senior all-stars from the west at the McDonald's all-star game played at Husson university.

Beal hit four 3-pointers and shot 7-9 from the free throw line.

Mitch Worcester from Washburn high school was one of the three finalist for Mr. Maine Basketball.

Worcester scored 25 points on five 3-pointers.

Steven Lewis from Fort Fairfield chipped in with 13 points for the east. Lewis also won the slam dunk contest later in the morning.

Colton Bivighouse from Katahdin added 12 points for the east.

The A/B east all stars lost to the west 112-89 on Saturday morning.

Tyler Brooks from Presque led the east with 18 points. Kyle Boucher from Maranacook chipped in with 17 points. Tyler Norris from Hampden added 10 points.
