On the evening of Jan. 14, 2013, ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ star Conrad Bain passed away, according to TMZ. The 89-year-old actor was living in a retirement home located in the heart of Livermore, CA. The family made a statement to TMZ claiming that the details of his death are still undetermined. Bain has one daughter and three sons left in mourning.
Bain originally got his fame from staring opposite Todd Bridges and Gary Coleman during the 1980’s. Bain played Mr. Drummond in ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ and his daughter Jennifer claims that her father had a very similar personality to Mr. Drummond, but was far more interesting than the character he portrayed.
Since the show ended, Bain did not have any truly memorable roles after ‘Diff’rent Strokes.’ Gary Coleman passed away in 2010. Coleman was known for his sassy attitude on the show. Todd Bridges has released a statement saying that he was deeply saddened by the passing of his costar Conrad Bain.
