Mr. Baber's Neighbors headlines night of bluegrass at DG's Tap House on Jan. 11 (Photos)

Bluegrass bands Mr. Baber's Neighbors: The Solar String Band and St. Anyway will play a show at DG's Tap House (127 Main Street) in Ames on Friday, January 11. St. Anyway will kick off the show at 9 p.m., and there will be a $5 cover charge at the door.

Openers St. Anyway got their start back in 2007. The Cloquet, Minnesota Americana/stompgrass band has completed a number of nationwide tours. The trio has recorded three full-length albums and one EP. Their most recent release, Behemoth, is available online and in record stores now.

Headliners Mr. Baber's Neighbors: The Solar String Band make their home in Des Moines. The jamgrass quintet has played at Wakarusa, Little Big Fest, the Iowa Craft Brew Festival, Camp Euforia, the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival, Schwagstock, 80/35, the Iowa State Fair, and a number of bluegrass festivals.
