MPS is an open book for information access

There’s no excuse for not staying informed on MPS issues. The School Board and committee provide numerous ways for parents, teachers, administrators, whoever…. to get involved in important decisions and access financial data.

These measures may have taken place because of notoriously low attendance at meetings. Or because of the several incidences that took place in the past few years regarding misuse of funds.

In July, MPS made records of all invoices available to the general public.

And last month, the Board began posting audio recordings of monthly meetings on the portal as well.

So now that open records have become just that much more open, maybe it will be easier for people to stay informed. Or at the very least, they can hear the big wigs debate about the mayoral takeover.
