Here are a few of the best movies that will be shown Thursday night at Sundance and how to get tickets. The Sundance Film Festival ends Sunday and these last few days have some great movies and shorts left. Here are a few of the best for tonight:
The Shock Doctrine
Eccles Theatre in Park City at 6:15 pm (1750 Kearns Blvd.)
Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross (directed The Road to Guantanamo) worked together on this film about Naomi Klein's book that exposes how governments and corporations use disasters to their advantage. After the movie there will be a panel discussion with Klein, Winterbottom, Whitecross, and Robert Redford.
Blue Valentine
The Racquet Club Theater in Park City at 8 pm (1200 Little Kate Road)
Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams star in this file as an older married couple and as their younger romantic selves. This is a sexually charged drama.
Frozen
Tower Theatre in Salt Lake City at 9 pm (876 E. 900 South)
This is the thriller everyone has been waiting for. Three friends get trapped on a ski lift in this horror-thriller. This movie was filmed at Snowbasin ski resort in Utah.
The Sundance box offices are located at Trolley Square or the Gateway Center in Park City. Tickets go on sale at 8 am for day of tickets. There is also a wait list line at each theater and tickets are given out two hours before the movie screening time. To get ticket information online, click here.
