If you are a movie goer dad like me then you are in for a real treat this weekend. Why? Because releasing today are several great movies that give you the opportunity to grab the kids and make your way down to your favorite movie theatre. Two of those movies are Safe House starring the incomparable Denzel Washington and Star Wars Phantom Menace re-releasing in 3D which can only be described in one word - "spectacular". Especially for the 3D lovers out there. Both of these films are playing at Cinemaworld which has a very affordable pre-noon matinee showing for only $6, which is fantastic. Almost as fantastic as their popcorn.
There are some more kid oriented films being shown on the big screen over at the East Providence 10, which is located in it's name sake city next to the Burlington Coat Factory on Newport Ave. This movie house is currently showing the 2nd run movies like Hugo, The Muppet's and The Adventures of Tin Tin (all PG films). Second run just means these movies are no longer being shown in the first run movie houses like Showcase or Loews, which is a good thing because the films are now very reasonably priced at around $2 per ticket. So no excuses. Grab the keys and the kids and get going. Make your way to the theatre this weekend for a great movie and some popcorn.
