"Oz the Great and Powerful" distributed by Walt Disney, and shown in 3D is an amazing film that lures you into believing that you are living every moment within the storyline. Roth Films and Peter Deming have brought this colorful movie to life, providing the audience with characters that travel out into the seating area to interact with viewers. Released Mar. 8, 2013, Oz has earned $281 million in nine days worldwide.
The story is based on the Oz series written by L. Frank Baum, and this particular movie introduces the development of the wizard to audience for the first time. The Wizard Oz played by James Franco, is portrayed as a ladies man who captivates the hearts of both the good and evil witches. A nice introduction and twist on the original version of the Wizard of Oz that skips the history of the land of Oz.

During this film you will jump, duck, and scream with all of the 3D animation.
Mila Kunis plays the wicked witch, Theodora, but before she turns evil she has a very likeable side that is admired by those around her. Her innocence gets the best of her and she is tricked into being consumed by darkness.
The wizard played by James Franco is a magician and con-artist, Oscar Diggs, that is hurled from Kansas into the land of Oz.
Rachel Weisz plays the evil sister Evanora, who ultimately converts her naive sister into an evil witch.
Michelle Williams is Glinda the Good Witch of the North and battles the evil sisters to win back her late father's kingdom.
This film provides a journey into the history of love and betrayal found in the land of Oz.
"Oz the Great and Powerful" is highly recommended to be viewed in 3D and is rated for all ages with a strong imagination.
